New Faculty Orientation

New Faculty Orientation (NFO) is an annual program facilitated by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost for new tenure-track, tenured, and term faculty members. This orientation provides information on teaching, research/creative activity, and life at the University of Minnesota, as well as interaction with other new faculty.

This year’s orientation launched on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 where faculty learned about resources to kickstart their careers at the University. Additional virtual sessions are being offered throughout the fall semester. The schedule is listed below. Contact [email protected] for registration information.

In addition to New Faculty Orientation sessions, we encourage faculty to participate in our New Faculty Program, which acknowledges engagement with professional development opportunities offered throughout the University. Faculty are welcome to participate in this program during the first five years of their career at the University.
